The proper wire for ground loops is XLPE or Cross Linked Polyethylene Insulated wire. Cross-linked polyethylene is thermoset and is cross-linked thermally or by radiation.
XLPE offers a wide range of operating temperatures. It has excellent deformation, abrasion, heat, flame and moisture resistance. XLPE is also formulated with a halogenated flame retardant, which also offers excellent wet electrical properties.
The number of feet you receive is determined by the quantity you purchase (e.g. purchasing a quantity of 10 gives you 10 feet of wire).
